RegionalCollab worked in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education through the Local Jobs Program to strengthen employment pathways across the New England North West region by bringing together schools, training providers, and local employers.
Partnership focus
The partnership focused on improving career awareness, supporting vocational and school-to-work pathways, and aligning education and training opportunities with local workforce needs. Through coordinated employer engagement, school-based activities, and stronger connections between industry and education, the program helped build clearer pathways for young people and job seekers into employment while supporting employers to develop future workforce pipelines.
Outcomes
This collaboration demonstrated that practical, place-based partnerships can deliver positive outcomes for both employers and the wider community. By connecting schools, training providers and local employers, the project created a more integrated approach to employment and skills in the region.
